Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luki Puki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Puki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though.
Puki regains full guard. Nicely done.
Puki trying to keep a closed guard but Smith is proving a slippery customer.
Puki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.
Puki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Puki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Puki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smith's guard.
Puki looking to sit in guard and control but Smith gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Smith stops Puki from standing up.
Puki is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith passes Puki's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Smith passes to full mount!
Puki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Puki is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
