The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Kaneko lands but Chamoukpetch takes it in his stride.
Chamoukpetch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kaneko.
Kaneko swings for the body but Chamoukpetch moves out of range.
Chamoukpetch fails with the takedown

and Kaneko counters with a takedown into side control.
Kaneko lands an elbow.
Chamoukpetch wants to get back to his feet but Kaneko is dominant here and he's now got Chamoukpetch's back!
Chamoukpetch is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kaneko.
Kaneko connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Chamoukpetch to escape the position.
