Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Air Canada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Spektor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Air Canada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noel Spektor!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spektor swivels and escapes.
Canada avoids the body shot from Spektor.
Spektor moves in looking to clinch but Canada pushes him off.
Spektor tries to clinch but Canada moves out of range.
Canada fails with a takedown attempt.

and Spektor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Spektor.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Air Canada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Spektor wants to control from the top but Canada keeps moving.
Spektor trying to stand up but can't free himself from Canada's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Noel Spektor wasn't active enough on the ground.
Canada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spektor swivels and escapes.
Spektor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Canada manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Canada changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Spektor fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Spektor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Spektor moves in looking to clinch but Canada pushes him off.

Spektor gets a takedown into half guard.

Spektor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Canada sees it coming and defends easily.

Spektor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Canada's head.
Canada is doing well to control the position and prevent Spektor from advancing to side control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Canada is trying is best to control the position here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spektor stalling away here and it's allowed Canada to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Spektor thows a big elbow that misses.
Canada seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Spektor wants to stand and escape but instead Canada has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Canada trying to stand up but can't free himself from Spektor's guard.
Spektor is trying to control the position but Canada postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Canada has a takedown stuffed.

Canada shoots in for a double leg but Spektor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Spektor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Canada. That did some damage!
Spektor shoots in and drives through. Canada sprawls well.

Canada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Canada winds up and cracks Spektor with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Canada is looking for a kimura but Spektor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Canada to get the leverage.

Spektor actively working from the bottom here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spektor is not content to let Canada control the position.
Spektor tries to roll over but Canada keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noel Spektor dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Canada closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spektor did well to prevent Canada getting side control.
Canada wants to control but Spektor is keeping him busy.
Spektor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Canada is working away from the top position though.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Canada moves into full mount! Spektor won't be happy about that!
Spektor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Canada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Canada is working for a guillotine from mount but Spektor frees his head quite easily.
Canada prevents Spektor from getting the reversal.

Canada controlling the position easily from mount.

Canada wants to finish this one by submission but Spektor is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Canada.
Spektor wants to hold on but Canada pushes him away.

Canada working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Canada looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canada connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Canada controlling from mount.
Canada trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Canada is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Spektor has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Canada connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Spektor is trying desperately to improve position.
Spektor squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Spektor wants to control but Canada is having none of it.

Canada is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Spektor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Spektor shrugs it off.
Canada postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spektor looks a forlorn figure.

Canada is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Spektor has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Canada is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Spektor is surviving well by controlling Canada's body position as best he can.

Spektor is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Canada locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Spektor is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Air Canada!
