Hogin comes to the cage accompanied by real american. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Gonzalez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gonzalez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gonzalez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hogin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gonzalez throws a head kick that misses.
Hogin avoids the head kick by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hogin's waist but Hogin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gonzalez off to one side.
Hogin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hogin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gonzalez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hogin ducks right into an uppercut from Gonzalez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hogin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Felix Gonzalez has been cut.
No joy there for Gonzalez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gonzalez misses with a head kick.
A combination from Gonzalez does no damage.

Hogin throws a jab when Gonzalez was well out of range.
Gonzalez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gonzalez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Felix Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzalez. Hogin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gonzalez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hogin manages to avoid it.
Hogin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gonzalez's head.
Gonzalez looks gassed!
Hogin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hogin drops Gonzalez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gonzalez looks back up at him and smiles so Hogin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Gonzalez is rocked!
Hogin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gonzalez moves away.
Gonzalez misses the jab.
Gonzalez tries to bum rush Hogin with a series of wild strikes but Hogin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gonzalez throws a sloppy head kick and Hogin moves out of range easily.
Hogin throws a shot to the body.
No joy there for Hogin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hogin throws a lazy right hand but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hogin lands a big right hand that sends Gonzalez crashing to the mat! Hogin stays standing though and waves Gonzalez back to his feet!
Gonzalez is still on wobbly legs! Can Hogin finish him?
Hogin connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gonzalez to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Hogin!
