Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goguryeo Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guadeloupe Canal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim comes to the cage accompanied by Cunninlynguists - Lynguistics. Canal has chosen Revientense Todos as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canal 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kim connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Canal scrambles back to his feet.
Guadeloupe Canal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kim lands a nice looking body shot.

Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kim walks into a stiff left hand from Canal .
Kim lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Canal misses with a looping right.
Canal tries to land a body kick
and Kim counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Canal needs to keep his hands up - Kim had a free shot at his head there.
Kim throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Canal on the side of the head.
Goguryeo Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Canal scores with a hook to the body. Kim takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Canal tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kim counters with a nice leg kick.
Canal cracks Kim with an open hand slap.
Kim takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kim misses with a double jab.
Canal on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Canal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but Canal is just out of range.
Canal goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kim getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kim takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Canal tries to clinch but Kim is having none of it.
Canal on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Canal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Kim looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Goguryeo Kim has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Canal throws the left hand but Kim avoids the punch easily.
Kim misses with the combination.
Kim lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Goguryeo Kim will probably get the nod.

The fighters circle momentarily. Canal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Canal just misses with a punch to the body.
Canal checks a leg kick.
Canal takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kim stuffs the takedown attempt from Canal . Canal gets slowly back to his feet.
Canal takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kim throws a wild body kick that Canal sees coming a mile off.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kim, right into the meat.
Kim is looking to slow Canal down with leg kicks.
Kim moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kim connects with a leg kick. Canal looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Canal connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kim momentarily.
Canal connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Kim is rocked!

Canal lands a huge takedown. Kim is out but the ref is slow to react and Canal lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Kim lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
