The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Worthington has hold of Maximus's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maximus manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Worthington is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Maximus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maximus sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Maximus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Worthington's guard.

Worthington is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Maximus frees his head nicely. Oh but Worthington has switched to an armbar! Maximus is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
