The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujita connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Khan momentarily.
Fujita lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Khan sprawling to the canvas. Fujita follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Khan hang on?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fujita throws a body kick the misses
and Khan counters with a big head kick but Fujita shrugs it off.
Fujita swats away the attempt to clinch by Khan.
Fujita will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fujita keeps the fight on the outside.
Fujita throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan.
Khan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fujita is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Khan.
Fujita will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Khan shoots in for a double leg but Fujita sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close round but I would say that Ichi Fujita will probably get the nod.

Khan moves in looking to clinch but Fujita pushes him off.

Fujita shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khan as he avoids it easily.

Khan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
