Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Kygath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harrison Christopher!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kygath swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kygath scores with the left hand. Christopher knows he should have avoided that one.
Christopher tries for a takedown but Kygath circles away easily
and Kygath counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Christopher thinking.
Christopher shoots in for a takedown but Kygath shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Harrison Christopher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Christopher or perhaps it was just good defense by Kygath which made him look bad.
Hunter Kygath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harrison Christopher.
Kygath lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kygath connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Christopher takes one on the button.
A jab from Kygath does it's job there.
Kygath stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kygath wants it to stay on the feet.
Christopher tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kygath swivels and escapes.
Kygath throws a sloppy head kick and Christopher moves out of range easily.

Christopher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kygath was covering up waiting for the punch and Christopher finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Christopher wants to control from the top but Kygath keeps moving.

Christopher trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kygath wants to stand and escape but Christopher is having none of it.

Harrison Christopher has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Christopher fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kygath avoids it really well and circles away.
Kygath throws out a powerful jab.
Kygath misses with the combination.
Kygath connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Christopher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Christopher wants to take a breather but Kygath is having none of it.
Kygath blocking the ground and pound attempt from Christopher.
Christopher not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kygath is trying to stand up here but Christopher is controlling him well.
Kygath on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kygath tries to get out of the position.

Christopher controlling the action here.
Christopher wants to take a breather but Kygath is having none of it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Christopher missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Christopher throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Christopher is looking to take a break and control but Kygath is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Christopher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Harrison Christopher hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Christopher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Christopher shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown by Christopher or perhaps it was just good defense by Kygath which made him look bad.
Kygath swinging wildly here.
Christopher drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kygath lands a jab-cross combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kygath lands with a right hand.
Kygath jabs Christopher right on the nose. Christopher blinks but takes it well.
Christopher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kygath but Kygath pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kygath throws a leg kick but Christopher sees it coming and moves out of range.
Hunter Kygath is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kygath throws a combination. Christopher tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kygath scores with a jab to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hunter Kygath dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Christopher shoots in for a double leg but Kygath sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kygath lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Christopher at a distance.
Kygath keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kygath displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Kygath connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Christopher momentarily.


Christopher is rocked!
Kygath scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Christopher is still on wobbly legs! Can Kygath finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kygath drops Christopher with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Christopher! Kygath dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
