The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Base takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Base is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Base could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Base gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Base misses with a right hand
and Scarlatti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Scarlatti is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Scarlatti misses with a two punch combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Scarlatti wants to break free but Base has control.
Scarlatti escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scarlatti swinging wilding here.
Base dodges the punch combination from Scarlatti.

Base misses the jab.
Base walks into a straight right hand from Scarlatti.

Base doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Scarlatti counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
