The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaira gets caught flat footed, as Steyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steyer trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kaira rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steyer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Steyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kaira sprawls well initially but Steyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Steyer in particular looking to stall.

Kaira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steyer on the ground.
