The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from York misses
and Tahere counters with a stiff right hand.
York thows a leg kick but Tahere checks it
and Tahere counters with a nice kick to the body.
Tahere pivots, looking for a leg kick but York is out of range and Tahere settles back down.
York misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tahere.
Tahere lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tahere tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

York clinches up against the cage.
Tahere is trying to break the clinch but York is controlling him.
York throws an elbow that misses.

York throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

York fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tahere manages to avoid it.
York connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

York scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tahere doesn't seem bothered though.

Tahere looks to land a combination but York avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tahere doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
York fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
York missing with a left hand there. Tahere was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

York lands a jab-cross combination.

Tahere is rocked!
Tahere walks straight into a right hand from York - that's dropped him! York jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Tahere from any more punishment! Tahere complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
