Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mayor Hammertown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kinesa Cali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hammertown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to mama said knock you out. Mayor Hammertown could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kinesa Cali's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mayor Hammertown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kinesa Cali!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammertown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cali throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hammertown missing with a left hand there. Cali was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cali tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hammertown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cali somewhat.
Hammertown closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Kinesa Cali has been cut.
Hammertown closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cali swings widly with a right hand
enabling Hammertown to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cali tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hammertown was well out of range. Poor timing from Cali.
Cali ducks under a wild hook from Hammertown.
Cali thuds his right hand into Hammertown's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammertown slaps away a takedown attempt from Cali, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cali is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hammertown.
Cali shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hammertown but Hammertown pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mayor Hammertown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kinesa Cali.
Cali throws a hook but Hammertown avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Hammertown misses.
Hammertown connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cali momentarily.
Hammertown defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cali.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cali.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hammertown is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cali has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hammertown can't do much from the bottom here.
Cali landing strikes.
Check out the look on Cali's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

It looks like Mayor Hammertown has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hammertown sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hammertown trying to hold on to Cali's head to control him but Cali postures up.
Cali takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hammertown is looking for a sweep. Cali is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammertown is not content to let Cali control the position.
Cali lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Cali has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cali takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hammertown is looking to escape.
Cali working the head and body with strikes.
Hammertown is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cali connects with a nice short shot to Hammertown's temple.

Mayor Hammertown's cut is getting worse.
Cali working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Jeez, Mayor Hammertown's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mayor Hammertown's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
