The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinheiro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pinheiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Acton controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pinheiro is looking to stand up but Acton isn't so interested in that idea.

You get the feeling that Pinheiro really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Pinheiro's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Acton is working for a guillotine from mount but Pinheiro frees his head quite easily.

Acton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Acton jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pinheiro manages to avoid the submission attempt.
