PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Trinckelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Con Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tony Trinckelton has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tony Trinckelton seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Tony Trinckelton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Con Dumas!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumas fails with the takedown.
Dumas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trinckelton swivels and escapes.
Dumas closes the distance and clinches up with Trinckelton, looking for a takedown. Dumas pushes Trinckelton against the cage but Trinckelton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tony Trinckelton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Con Dumas.
A jab from Trinckelton does it's job there.


It looks like Con Dumas has been cut.

Dumas dives in and scores a takedown into Trinckelton's guard.
Dumas looking to sit in guard and control but Trinckelton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dumas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trinckelton trying to control the position from guard on top but Dumas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dumas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trinckelton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trinckelton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dumas has a closed guard, preventing Trinckelton from standing up.
Dumas can't keep his opponent in guard - Trinckelton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dumas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Trinckelton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Trinckelton's back!

Dumas goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Trinckelton escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Nice strikes from Trinckelton there.
Trinckelton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dumas on the ground.

Dumas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Trinckelton pulls his head out easily.

Trinckelton is trying to control the action in half guard but Dumas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Dumas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Trinckelton tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Dumas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Trinckelton stands up and beckons Dumas to join him on the feet.
Con Dumas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dumas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Trinckelton avoids it really well and circles away.
Dumas shoots for a takedown but Trinckelton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dumas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dumas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dumas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dumas looks gassed!
Dumas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Trinckelton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trinckelton scores with a shot to the body.
Dumas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Trinckelton lands a nice shot that snaps Dumas's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Trinckelton lands a really nice looking cross but Dumas seems unphased.


That has opened up Con Dumas's cut even more.
Dumas walks straight into a right hand from Trinckelton - that's dropped him! Trinckelton jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Dumas from any more punishment! Dumas complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tony Trinckelton!
