Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulie Wogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paulie Wogg!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
shannon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
shannon swats away the attempt to clinch by Wogg.
Wogg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
shannon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Wogg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wogg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. shannon manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wogg is looking to take a break and control but shannon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wogg is pressing down on shannon's thigh, looking to free his foot. shannon is holding on for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
shannon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wogg counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wogg.
Wogg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

shannon pushes Wogg away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wogg gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Wogg is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but shannon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wogg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Wogg tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Wogg has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Wogg breaks from shannon's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Wogg lands a big shot there that rocks shannon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
shannon is trying to escape the mount but Wogg keeps good control and instead manages to take shannon's back.
The referee is taking a good look at shannon as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Wogg!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
shannon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wogg has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, shannon has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wogg doesn't have the hooks in and shannon manages to turn into his guard.
Wogg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. shannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wogg is tightening it up a little... shannon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! shannon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! shannon taps out! nice BJJ there by Wogg!
