The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jagez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tachia as he avoids it easily.
Tachia slips under a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jagez.
Jagez has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jones Jagez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tachia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jagez throws out the jab.

and Tachia counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jagez's knee momentarily.

Tachia rushes Jagez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jagez jumps guard but Tachia stands there with Jagez around his waist. Jagez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Tachia makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Tachia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones Jagez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jagez has his takedown stuffed
and Tachia counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jagez's knee momentarily.
Jagez misses with the body kick
and Tachia counters with an outside leg kick.
Jagez misses with a left hand
and Tachia counters with a straight right hand.
Whack! Tachia lands a heavy head kick that drops Jagez. The ref tackles Tachia to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Jagez was done.
