Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heddy Lamaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamaar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pledge To Hedley Lamaar. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Heddy Lamaar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Savage!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamaar walks into a left hand.
Lamaar looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A head kick misses from Lamaar.
Savage scores with a decent looking hook.
Lamaar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Savage avoids the head kick by Lamaar.
Lamaar sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lamaar shoots in and gets a takedown into Savage's guard.

Savage manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Savage lands a big shot there that rocks Lamaar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Lamaar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Savage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lamaar wants to control but Savage is having none of it.

Lamaar is desperately trying to improve his position but Savage has a good base and remains in mount.

Lamaar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Savage has his hands on Lamaar's head, controlling the position.
Lamaar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lamaar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Savage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lamaar throws an elbow but Savage slips to the side and avoids it well.

Lamaar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Savage has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lamaar but great work by Savage.

Lamaar is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Savage is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Savage cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lamaar is in a horrible position here. Savage smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Savage cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Savage pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Savage tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Savage is landing with some decent strikes but Lamaar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Savage dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A good leg kick by Savage.
Lamaar takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice uppercut there from Savage.
Savage throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Lamaar stumbling backwards into the cage! Lamaar bounces back off the cage towards Savage, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Savage lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Savage celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Randy Savage!
