Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Damien Maia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Maia misses with a straight right.
Moura takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Moura has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maia finds it's way round the side to connect with Moura's head.
Moura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Maia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moura somewhat.
Moura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robson Moura. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moura avoids the body shot from Maia.
Maia throws a low kick but Moura avoids it.
Maia getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Moura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Maia takes a swing at Moura's ribcage but misses.
Moura tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maia swivels and escapes.
Maia cracks a nice hook into Moura's ribs.
Moura is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab from Maia does it's job there.
Moura misses with a takedown attempt
and Moura takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Maia lands a jab to Moura's midsection.
Maia scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A left lands for Maia.
Maia scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Moura doesn't seem bothered though.
Maia throws a monster overhand right that drops Moura! Maia follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
