The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valtna ducks right into an uppercut from Thompson.
Thompson's corner calls for a 1-2. Thompson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valtna is defended easily by Thompson.
Nice sprawl there from Thompson as Valtna shoots in.
Thompson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Valtna to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Valtna seems to be working for a kimura but Thompson defends the submission attempt.

Valtna is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thompson defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thompson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Valtna sprawling to the canvas. Thompson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Valtna hang on?

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Thompson throws an uppercut from hell that sends Valtna clean off his feet! He's out cold! Thompson stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
