PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rios comes into the arena with Forever blaring out of the sound system. Alvarez has chosen Coming in Hot as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rios sprawls well. Rios wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.
Rios closes the distance and clinches up with Alvarez, looking for a takedown. Rios pushes Alvarez against the cage but Alvarez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Rios sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Rios wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alvarez has him pressed against the cage.

Rios postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alvarez looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rios throws some wild stikes that Alvarez manages to avoid easily.
Rios lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rios feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alvarezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Oooooh!!! Rios has knocked Alvarez down with a huge combo! Rios steps away and waves a wobbly Alvarez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rios grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Alvarez takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Rios cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
