Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glover shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Aldo is controlling an arm, preventing Glover from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Glover is working for a guillotine from mount but Aldo frees his head quite easily.

Glover moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Aldo has worked his arm free - good work by Aldo !

The referee asks Glover politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Glover prefers to stall for the moment though.

Aldo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Aldo is on top in guard.

Glover is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aldo defends well.

Aldo tries to control Glover's body but Glover pushes him off. Aldo squirms to his side and now Glover has his back!

Glover is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Aldo has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Glover wants to control the position but Aldo frees himself and scrambles - Glover manages to regain control in side control.

Aldo stalks Glover and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Glover's face. Glover staggers backwards, shaken.

Glover walks forward, straight into a front kick from Aldo .

Glover decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Glover wants to control but Aldo is keeping him busy.

Glover thows a huge punch but Aldo dodges it nicely.

Glover is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aldo is just riding it out for now. Glover eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeff Glover wasn't active enough on the ground.
Aldo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Aldo .
Glover shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aldo pinned against the cage. Aldo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
