The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Groove.
Groove fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Field avoids it really well and circles away.
Groove wants to clinch.
Groove slips under a jab from Field.
Groove is looking to clinch but Field is avoiding it.
The fighters circling - Field throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A combination from Groove does no damage.

Field swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Groove is now in Field's guard. A big mistake from Field there, giving up the dominant position!

Groove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Field is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Groove defends it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Groove keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Groove fails in his attempt to clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Field will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Field throws a wild body kick that Groove sees coming a mile off.
Groove scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Field avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Field looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Groove is fending him off so far but Field persists. Nope, Groove circles away and we're back to standing.

and Field counters with a nice double leg into side control. Groove won't be happy with that.

Field tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Field has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Field drops back, looking for a kneebar! Groove looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Groove looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Groove!
Johnny Field is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Groove working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Field.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Field, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
