Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Whitecoat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whitecoat has chosen Seven Nation Army as his entrance music. Ben Hall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitecoat throws a series of punches but Hall avoids them all with ease.
Whitecoat throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hall tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Whitecoat tries to clinch but Hall is having none of it.
Hall will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hall scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Whitecoat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hall sprawls well initially but Whitecoat persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whitecoat gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hall is trying to control the position but Whitecoat postures up.

Hall has his foot on Whitecoat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Whitecoat works his way back into a safe position though.

Whitecoat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hall looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Whitecoat puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Whitecoat is stalling here. Hall is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Whitecoat seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hall has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hall stands up and beckons Whitecoat to his feet.
Hall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Whitecoat pinned against the cage. Whitecoat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Whitecoat.

Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hall shoots in but Whitecoat avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
