The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killer tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killer to the ground. Killer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Killer as Gracie shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franco Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Killer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Killer wants to take Gracie's back here but Gracie is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Killer tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
Killer with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Killer's attempts to control the action.

Killer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Killer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gracie is surviving well by controlling Killer's body position as best he can.
Killer with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Killer looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Killer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Killer forces the positional change into back control.
