The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Heimer shoots in and drives through. Martello sprawls well.
Martello waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Heimer.

Martello moves into range and clinches up with Heimer.
Martello stalls.

Martello jumps guard.
Martello wants to get back to his feet but Heimer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Martello trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Heimer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Martello is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heimer prevents Martello from getting back to his feet.
Martello really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heimer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Heimer trying to control but Martello is working from the bottom.
Heimer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Martello lands a head kick!

It looks like Tuten Heimer has been cut.
Heimer looks for a takedown but Martello sprawls well.

Martello gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Martello is controlling Heimer's trapped leg to prevent Heimer from advancing to side control.
Martello pushes Heimer off looking to stand but Heimer dives back in and keeps control.
Heimer tries to pass to full mount but Martello defends it.
Martello is pressing down on Heimer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Martello is looking to control Heimer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Martello avoid being mounted?

Heimer uses his free foot to push down on Martello's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Martello.
Martello tries to hold on but Heimer postures up.

Heimer is looking to take a break and control but Martello is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Martello is trying to maintain the position but Heimer is very close to passing his half guard.
