PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sigvard Aurelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aurelius comes to the cage accompanied by Marcia Carolus Rex. Quaid has chosen Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aurelius lands a leg kick that knocks Quaid off balance momentarily.

Aurelius fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Quaid has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Aurelius will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Quaid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aurelius doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aurelius manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Quaid takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Aurelius feints and then cracks Quaid's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quaid down.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Aurelius here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
