PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gert Jan Dejong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mazard Unis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Unis has chosen War is the Answer as his entrance music. Mazard Unis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mazard Unis!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dejong misses with a shot to the body
and Unis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dejong is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Dejong is looking to clinch.
Dejong misses with a lunging right hand
and Unis counters with a good, hard body kick but Dejong shrugs it off.
Dejong swings widly with a right hand

and Unis moves into the clinch.
Unis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dejong or not.
Dejong's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Unis gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Dejong drops down looking for an ankle pick but Unis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Unis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dejong's head.
Dejong throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Unis to counter with a crisp jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Unis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dejong rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Unis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Unis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Unis slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Unis keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Dejong is rocked!
Dejong misses with an uppercut
and Unis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oh Dejong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dejong is breathing heavily.
Unis connects with a nice cross there... Dejong is looking wobbly and Unis recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Dejong to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Unis jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
