Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Eko!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eko lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Eko throws a combination that misses

and Cox decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eko's guard.
Cox looking to pass the guard.
Cox is working hard here to advance position.
Cox passes Eko's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eko is staying active underneath Cox, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cox.
Eko wants to improve his position but Cox is controlling well.

Cox looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cox working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Eko's head.

Eko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cox!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cox is squirming around, avoiding Eko's attempts to control the action.

Cox is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eko pulls his head out easily.

Cox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eko defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eko wanted to stand there but Cox had control of the position.

Eko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cox is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cox has escaped and now he's on top!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Eko seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Cox has recovered full guard.

Mr Eko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Eko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eko scores with a jab. Cox acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

and Cox counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Eko!
Eko is breathing heavily.
Cox lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Eko hang on?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cox cracks Eko with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Cox looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Cox with a couple of short strikes.
Cox scoring with strikes but Eko is staying in there.
Eko is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Cox postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Eko looks a forlorn figure.

Cox goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Eko turns into him and now he's in Cox's guard.
Cox looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eko is one step ahead there.

Cox keeping moving, preventing Eko from controlling successfully.

Eko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cox tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Eko has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cox to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Eko is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cox pulls down on the head and he's put Eko to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dr Cox!
