Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roger Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Koshcheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Koshcheck's choice of entrance music: To Be Loved-Papa Roach. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana with a lazy takedown attempt
and Koshcheck counters with a head kick. That will keep Montana thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Koshcheck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montana thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koshcheck's head.

Montana has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Koshcheck is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Montana.

Koshcheck is pressed up against the cage. Montana has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Koshcheck down to the mat. Koshcheck avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Montana takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Koshcheck uses his free foot to push down on Montana's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Montana.

Let's hope that Koshcheck has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Koshcheck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
