Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ansatsuken Ryu!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryu throws a looping overhand right but Griffin ducks down to avoid it.
Ryu throws a head kick but Griffin moves out of range.
Griffin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Forrest Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Griffin. Those never looked like landing.
Griffin misses with a body shot
and Ryu counters with an outside leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ryu.
Griffin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Griffin tries to move into range but Ryu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Griffin staying out of range there.
Ryu connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Forrest Griffin has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab lands there for Ryu.
Griffin tries to clinch there but Ryu circles away.
Ryu thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Griffin if he has to take too many more of those.
Griffin throws a one two combo.
Ryu scores with a leg kick.
Griffin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ryu connects with a leg kick. Griffin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Ryu connects with a solid leg kick.
Griffin takes a swing at Ryu's ribcage but misses.
Forrest Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ryu scores with a head kick. Griffin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Ryu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Griffin's head.
Griffin looks to land a combination but Ryu avoids it well.
