Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Snitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Barley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snitch has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barley.
Barley tries to land a leg kick but Snitch saw it coming and moves away.
Barley misses with a two punch combination.
Barley lands the left hand.
A good leg kick by Barley.
Barley cracks the inside of Snitch's front leg.
Barley throws a right and a left that both miss.

Snitch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barley to the mat! Barley manages to get full guard.
Snitch controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

We're going to have a standup here because Jon Snitch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Snitch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barley was well out of range. Poor timing from Snitch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Snitch showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barley.
Snitch misses with a hook.
Snitch throws a sloppy head kick and Barley moves out of range easily.
Barley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Snitch's calf.
Barley misses with a double jab.
Barley throws a right hand that Snitch ducks under and follows up with a left that Snitch also avoids with ease.
Sloppy strikes from Barley. Those never looked like landing.
Snitch checks a low kick from Barley.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snitch throws the kick towards the body but Barley avoids it.
Barley throws a head kick but Snitch moves out of range.
Barley throws a jab when Snitch was well out of range.
Barley throws a lazy uppercut

and Snitch counters with a takedown into side control.
Snitch is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Barley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Snitch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Snitch controlling the position from side mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Snitch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Snitch slows the pace down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Snitch dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Snitch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barley.
Barley throws a sloppy head kick and Snitch moves out of range easily.
Snitch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Snitch moves in looking to clinch but Barley pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Barley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Snitch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barley is trying to control but can't.
Snitch controlling the action here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snitch lands a nice short elbow.
Barley wants to get back to full guard.

Snitch has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Barley defend it? Snitch steps over the head and cranks it - Barley is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Snitch!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jon Snitch!
