The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bologna's waist but Bologna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Punk off to one side.
Punk shoots in but Bologna avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bologna looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bologna is looking to clinch but Punk is avoiding it.
Bologna fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Punk has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bologna paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like DJ Punk has been cut.
Bologna tries to clinch there but Punk circles away.

Bologna has closed the distance and engaged Punk in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Punk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bologna fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Phil Bologna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Punk.

Punk drops his hands momentarily and Bologna takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Nice uppercut there from Bologna.

Bologna lands a big head kick that sends Punk tumbling to the mat! Bologna takes a step backwards and waves Punk back to his feet - he wants the finish!

That has opened up DJ Punk's cut even more.
Punk swats away the attempt to clinch by Bologna.

Bologna sends Punk crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bologna is motioning to the referee to let Punk up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Punk is rocked!

The cut above DJ Punk's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bologna doesn't manage to clinch there - Punk circles away.

Bologna gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bologna's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

DJ Punk's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Bologna lands with a straight right. Punk didn't see that one coming.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at DJ Punk's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
