The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spade closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gapuz to the mat! Gapuz manages to get full guard.

Spade decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gapuz shoots and misses

and Spade counters by clinching up.
Gapuz tries to score a body lock takedown but Spade shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Spade is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Spade.

Gapuz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
