The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanenko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Romanenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boets quickly recovers to half guard.

Boets makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boets.

Boets wanted to stand there but Romanenko had control of the position.

Boets got a little sloppy there for a moment and Romanenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boets has managed to get both his arms back between Romanenko's legs - danger averted.

Boets closes the distance looking for a takedown. Romanenko stuffs it but Boets still has hold of him. Boets picks Romanenko up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Boets slams Romanenko to the floor and that's really hurt Romanenko - he doesn't know where he is! Boets throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
