PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Xianfa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Errol Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Field is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jujitsu Gunslingers. On his way into the cage it seems that Zhang Xianfa has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zhang Xianfa seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Field has Xianfa up against the cage in a clinch.
Field wants a takedown but no success here.
Come on Xianfa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Xianfa taking a breather.
Field tries for a takedown. No joy.
Xianfa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Field backwards.
Xianfa misses with a punch to the body.
Xianfa is trying to stall.
Xianfa seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Field is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Field has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Xianfa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Field throwing sloppy strikes.

Field tightening his grip on Xianfa, looking for the choke.

Field is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Xianfa knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Xianfa for a finish.

Xianfa trying to control the hands but Field won't let him.
Field misses with an elbow to the head.

Xianfa is in a bad position with Field working for a choke. Xianfa manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Field not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Field looking for a guillotine here but Xianfa defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Xianfa tries to stand but Field is controlling from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Xianfa wants to control from the top but Field keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Xianfa throws a series of punches but Field moves out of range.
Zhang Xianfa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Xianfa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Xianfa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Field throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Xianfa's waist but Xianfa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Field off to one side.

Field rushes Xianfa and presses him up against the cage.
Field prevents a body shot from Xianfa.
Nice body punch from Xianfa.
A short body shot lands from Xianfa as the two fighters clinch.
Field changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Xianfa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Field fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A combination from Xianfa does no damage.

Xianfa lands a left and a right that send Field crashing to the mat, dazed. Xianfa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Field is rocked!
Xianfa fails to land with a series of punches.
Field is still on wobbly legs! Can Xianfa finish him?
Xianfa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Field seems to have recovered his senses.
Xianfa lands with a good body shot.
Field shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Xianfa counters with a left right combination that sends Field crashing to the mat - Xianfa wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Field out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
