Brigo comes to the cage accompanied by The Black Eyed Peas - Bebot . Salmon has chosen Heartbeats as his entrance music. Cleon Salmon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jamie Brigo's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cleon Salmon!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Salmon misses with a looping right.
Brigo lands a nice looking body kick.
Salmon misses with a low kick as Brigo jumps back.
Cleon Salmon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brigo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Brigo duly obliges.

It looks like Cleon Salmon has been cut.

Brigo scores with a takedown into Salmon's guard.
Salmon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brigo trying to control the position from guard on top but Salmon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salmon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Brigo wants to control from the top but Salmon keeps moving.
Brigo advances to half guard.

Brigo wants to pass the guard but Salmon is defending well.
Salmon has hold of Brigo's hands but Brigo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Brigo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Salmon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Brigo slows the pace down in half guard.
Brigo wants to take a breather but Salmon is having none of it.
Brigo works his way into full mount!
Brigo seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Salmon is holding on tight.

Salmon gets back to half guard.
Brigo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Salmon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Brigo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Salmon is defending against the submission attempts here by Brigo.
Brigo thows a huge punch but Salmon dodges it nicely.
Brigo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brigo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Salmon has managed to free his arm - good work.

Brigo tries to pass to full mount but Salmon defends it.
Salmon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brigo trying to control from Salmon's half guard. Salmon has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Salmon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brigo's corner is telling him to maintain position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Salmon is on top in guard.
Salmon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brigo's head.

Salmon is looking to work some ground and pound but Brigo has wrist control.
Brigo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Brigo is keen to just control but Salmon is a slippery customer.
Brigo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Salmon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brigo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salmon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Brigo trying to control but Salmon is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Brigo looking to secure an arm triangle but Salmon defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Salmon tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Salmon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brigo doesn't seem bothered though.
A clash of legs there as Brigo blocks the low kick.
Salmon scores with a jab. Brigo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Salmon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brigo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Salmon.
Salmon scores with a jab to the body.
Salmon lunges at Brigo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brigo's hand.

Salmon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brigo is trying to defend but Salmon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Salmon is taking a breather. Brigo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Salmon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Brigo is trying desperately to improve position.
Salmon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brigo looks a forlorn figure.
Salmon loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Brigo scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Salmon land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Salmon stands and salutes the crowd.
