The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sims has a takedown stuffed.
Irving avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Irving misses with the combination.
Sims scores with a jab. Irving acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Irving thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sims scores with a shot to the body.
Irving throws a right hand that Sims ducks under and follows up with a left that Sims also avoids with ease.
Sims tries to clinch but Irving moves out of range.
Irving closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sims's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sims looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Irving is defending well. Sims quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Irving has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sims celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
