Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ed Mytsyno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Foster!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster punishes Mytsyno's body with a nice straight punch.
Foster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mytsyno manages to avoid it.
Foster connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mytsyno throws a looping overhand right but Foster ducks down to avoid it.
A left lands for Foster.
Foster misses with a few strikes there.

Mytsyno walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Foster wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Foster shoots in for a takedown but Mytsyno shows good takedown defense.

Mytsyno bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Marcus Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mytsyno avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ed Mytsyno is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Foster cracks Mytsyno with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheers as Foster lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mytsyno doesn't seem phased though.

Decent striking displayed by Foster there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foster throws an overhand right that lands on Mytsyno's shoulder, as Mytsyno tries to avoid the shot.

Foster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mytsyno is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Foster is trying to control the action in half guard but Mytsyno is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foster is stalling here. Mytsyno is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Foster seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mytsyno has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Mytsyno's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ed Mytsyno.

Foster displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mytsyno throws out the jab.
Sloppy strikes from Foster. Those never looked like landing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Foster cracks Mytsyno with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Mytsyno misses with an uppercut.
Mytsyno is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Mytsyno uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Foster.

Foster swings for the body but Mytsyno moves out of range.
Foster cracks Mytsyno with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Foster scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Foster misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mytsyno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Foster avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Foster scores with a hook to the body. Mytsyno takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mytsyno misses with an uppercut.
Mytsyno has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mytsyno there as he acknowledges the shot.
Foster throws a right and a left that both miss.
Foster ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Foster lands a slapping body shot.
Ed Mytsyno has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mytsyno takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Foster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mytsyno.
A punch lands to the side of Mytsyno 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Foster ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Marcus Foster is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Mytsyno misses with an uppercut
and Foster counters with a left and a right that stings Mytsyno.
Foster connects with a looping right hand.
Foster scores with a jab.
Foster getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mytsyno looks to land a right hand but Foster moved out of range.
Foster shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mytsyno as he jumps to the side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marcus Foster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Foster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
