The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Me drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Me got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spalchik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Me has managed to get both his arms back between Spalchik's legs - danger averted.
Me will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Me trying to control the position from guard on top but Spalchik is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Me decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Me leaves Spalchik with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Me gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Me manages to pull guard.

Spalchik is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Me knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spalchik on the ground.
