Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quartz Henkeln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Dimitrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dimitrov has chosen "You Can't Stop Me Now" by RZA as his entrance music. Quartz Henkeln has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimitrov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Henkeln avoids it really well and circles away.

Henkeln shoots in and bounces Dimitrov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henkeln controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Henkeln advances to half guard.
Henkeln content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Henkeln is trying to control. Dimitrov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dimitrov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Henkeln stays in close to Dimitrov's body and controls the position.
Dimitrov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henkeln is one step ahead there.

Henkeln decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dimitrov lands with a slapping head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dimitrov.
Henkeln slaps away a takedown attempt from Dimitrov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Quartz Henkeln has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Dimitrov.

Henkeln dives in and scores a takedown into Dimitrov's guard.
Henkeln passes Dimitrov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dimitrov has hold of Henkeln's hands but Henkeln slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Henkeln takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Dimitrov wants to sweep but Henkeln has passed to side control!
Dimitrov is looking for a sweep.
Henkeln has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henkeln tries to score with some ground and pound. Dimitrov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Dimitrov pushes Henkeln away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Henkeln gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Dimitrov looks gassed!
Dimitrov is looking for a sweep.

Henkeln tries to score with some ground and pound. Dimitrov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Henkeln is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dimitrov is trying to escape and Henkeln transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dimitrov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Henkeln! Very nice indeed!
