The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kala lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Irracha circles away quickly and effectively.
Kala doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Irracha enables Kala to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Irracha manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Irracha is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Kala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Irracha swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kala's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Irracha wants to sweep here but Kala controlling him for the moment.
Kala throws a strike but Irracha rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kala bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Irracha's guard.

Kala might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Irracha kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

and Kala counters with a three punch combo that has Irracha backing up. Irracha nods at Kala to acknowledge the strikes.
