Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing entrance! with the theme FORT BATTLE from The Last of the Mohicans. Doug Robertson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rogerio Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Rogerio Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Doug Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson misses with a few strikes there.

Robertson shoots in and bounces Gracie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Robertson cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Robertson wants to control the pace but Gracie is squirming around nicely.
Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Nice takedown defense from Gracie. No joy for Robertson on that attempt.
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Robertson was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Robertson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Robertson in his guard.

Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Robertson stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Robertson!

Robertson closes the distance and clinches up with Gracie, looking for a takedown. Robertson pushes Gracie against the cage but Gracie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rogerio Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Robertson.
No joy there for Robertson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Doug Robertson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Robertson.
Robertson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Robertson moves away.

Robertson is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gracie crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Robertson - the referee stops the clock and Gracie gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Robertson. Gracie manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Robertson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gracie is out of range.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Robertson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Robertson has escaped and now he's on top!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Doug Robertson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Robertson sprawls well.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Robertson.
Rogerio Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Doug Robertson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Robertson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
