The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice takedown defense from Raveneye. No joy for Maia on that attempt.
Maia looks for a takedown but Raveneye sprawls well.
Raveneye lands a slapping body shot.

Maia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Raveneye tries to avoid it but Maia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Raveneye to the ground. Raveneye escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Odin Raveneye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia.
Raveneye connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Raveneye throws a nice looking combination but Maia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Maia closes the distance and clinches up with Raveneye, looking for a takedown. Maia pushes Raveneye against the cage but Raveneye circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Raveneye scores with a shot to the body.
Maia looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Raveneye sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maia somewhat.
Raveneye throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maia.
Raveneye lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Raveneye lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maia at a distance.
Raveneye scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
Raveneye sizes up Maia with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Raveneye lands a lovely overhand right.

Maia is trying desperately to land a takedown but Raveneye is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Maia.
Raveneye is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Maia like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Maia from another fist facial!
