Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skip Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skip Stevens will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boston Terrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Skip Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens closes the distance and pushes Terrier back into the cage.
Terrier is trying to break the clinch but Stevens is controlling him.

Stevens breaks from the clinch.

Stevens feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stevens engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Terrier really is a fat lump.
Terrier wants to stand up but Stevens is controlling him.
Stevens slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
A lull in the action here.
Terrier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stevens asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stevens decides to stand back up. Stevens steps back and let's Terrier get back to his feet.
Terrier is breathing heavily.

Stevens pushes Terrier up against the cage in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Terrier has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Stevens lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Terrier wants to get back to striking at distance but Stevens won't allow it.
Stevens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stevens manages to break the clinch.

Stevens closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Terrier did well to prevent Stevens getting side control.

Stevens decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Terrier napping and manages to drive through into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stevens staying calm.

Stevens has an Americana. Terrier didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Stevens is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Stevens hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Skip Stevens!
