PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helio Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Hymen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campos shoots in for a double leg but Hymen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Campos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hymen chips away with some ground and pound.
Hymen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hymen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hymen slips nicely into half guard.
Hymen is looking to take a break and control but Campos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hymen is pressing down on Campos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Campos is holding on for now.
Hymen thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Campos to regain full guard.
Hymen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hymen wants to pass the guard but Campos is keeping the position.
Hymen throws a big right hand that misses.

Campos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hymen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hymen passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Hymen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Campos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hymen scores with a couple of short elbows.
Hymen cracks Campos with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Campos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hymen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Campos keeps working.

Hymen has an Americana. Campos didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hymen is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hymen hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
