Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolai Vladimier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sato might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Call to prayer of islam. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladimier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sato lands a head kick. Vladimier smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nicolai Vladimier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vladimier misses with the combination.
Sato misses with a head kick.
Sato throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vladimier lunges at Sato with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sato's hand.
Sato on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sato ducks right into an uppercut from Vladimier.
Vladimier throws the left hand but Sato avoids the punch easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Vladimier blocks the leg kick.

A jab from Vladimier finds it's way through Sato's defenses.
Vladimier connects with a single shot there.
Vladimier fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sato on the side of the head.
Sato throws a big shot that misses.
Vladimier takes a swing at Sato's ribcage but misses.
Vladimier throws an overhand right that lands on Sato's shoulder, as Sato tries to avoid the shot.
Sato dodges the punch combination from Vladimier.
Sato just misses with a punch to the body.

A left lands for Vladimier.
Vladimier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sato avoids it really well and circles away.
A slow jab from Vladimier misses its intended target.
Vladimier connects with a right hand. Sato shakes it off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sato is looking to slow Vladimier down with leg kicks.
Sato feints and then cracks Vladimier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vladimier down.

Sato takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sato just misses with a punch to the body.
Vladimier throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Sato counters with a body kick that stops Vladimier in his tracks momentarily.
Vladimier connects with the punch.
Sato fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vladimier is out of range.
Sato misses with a low kick.
Vladimier is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sato had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Vladimier throws a jab when Sato was well out of range.

and Sato counters with an inside leg kick.

Vladimier misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sato.
A nice combination there by Vladimier.
Sato slips under a jab from Vladimier.

Vladimier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sato backs up against the cage.
Vladimier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vladimier shoots in but Sato avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rumina Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolai Vladimier.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Sato cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vladimier throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Sato.
Vladimier throws a hook but Sato blocks it.
Sato drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Vladimier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Vladimier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sato, who protects the arm well.

Sato is pushing Vladimier's head away, looking to escape. Vladimier manages to hold on to the position though.

Vladimier has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sato is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vladimier yanks on the arm and Sato is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vladimier.
