Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boy Kalawit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu MIzaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boy Kalawit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu MIzaki!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalawit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
MIzaki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kalawit darts in and clinches MIzaki up against the cage.

MIzaki breaks from the clinch.
Kalawit feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to MIzaki's calf.
MIzaki fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
MIzaki connects with a leg kick. Kalawit looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kalawit tries to close the distance and clinch up but MIzaki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
MIzaki fails with a takedown attempt.
Boy Kalawit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryu MIzaki.

Kalawit closes the distance and clinches.
MIzaki blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Kalawit gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kalawit is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Kalawit is trying to work for a kimura but MIzaki is defending well.

Kalawit jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… MIzaki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by MIzaki and Kalawit has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kalawit swings around for an armbar but MIzaki sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kalawit's guard.

MIzaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Kalawit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

MIzaki has gone for a leg lock! Kalawit slips out almost immediately though and dives into MIzaki's guard.

MIzaki uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by MIzaki or perhaps it was just good defense by Kalawit which made him look bad.
MIzaki thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kalawit if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kalawit keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MIzaki.

MIzaki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kalawit as he jumps to the side.
No luck for MIzaki with that takedown attempt.
Kalawit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kalawit wants it to stay on the feet.
A punch combination from Kalawit misses.

Kalawit closes the distance and clinches.
Kalawit keeps control of MIzaki as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
MIzaki has Kalawit pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kalawit manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kalawit has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but MIzaki regains guard immediately.

Kalawit postures up in MIzaki's guard and throws a big left but MIzaki blocks it.
Kalawit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
MIzaki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
MIzaki trying to keep a closed guard but Kalawit is proving a slippery customer.
Kalawit wants to stand but MIzaki is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

MIzaki scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boy Kalawit dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


MIzaki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kalawit circles away.
MIzaki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalawit pinned against the cage. Kalawit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
MIzaki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kalawit sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Boy Kalawit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryu MIzaki.
MIzaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kalawit tries to avoid it but MIzaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kalawit to the ground. Kalawit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kalawit throws a series of punches but MIzaki moves out of range.

Kalawit rushes MIzaki and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

MIzaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kalawit scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kalawit stalling away here and it's allowed MIzaki to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kalawit wants to control from the top but MIzaki keeps moving.

Kalawit with a flurry of punches that miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kalawit throws and elbow that misses. MIzaki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kalawit's guard. Nice move by MIzaki!

Kalawit has his foot on MIzaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. MIzaki works his way back into a safe position though.

MIzaki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

MIzaki moves in looking to clinch but Kalawit pushes him off.
MIzaki lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kalawit's sensitive parts.

MIzaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Kalawit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

MIzaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
MIzaki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kalawit sprawls well. Kalawit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MIzaki gets slowly back to his feet.

Kalawit takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kalawit throws a one two combo.
MIzaki misses with a few strikes there.
MIzaki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kalawit stuffs the takedown attempt from MIzaki. MIzaki gets slowly back to his feet.
Kalawit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but MIzaki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kalawit lands with a nice combination. MIzaki backs away looking to recover.
MIzaki fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kalawit throws a combination. MIzaki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ryu MIzaki will probably get the nod - 10:9.

MIzaki shoots in looking for a takedown. Kalawit tries to sprawl out of it but MIzaki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kalawit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

MIzaki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kalawit is looking for a takedown up against the cage. MIzaki gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
MIzaki is trying to drag Kalawit to the mat but Kalawit just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kalawit is trying to trip MIzaki. He has hold of a leg but MIzaki is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kalawit persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kalawit wants to stand and escape but instead MIzaki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
MIzaki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kalawit is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MIzaki is controlling him.

MIzaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kalawit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, MIzaki has managed to get both his arms back between Kalawit's legs - danger averted.

MIzaki is looking to work some ground and pound but Kalawit has wrist control.
