Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Goryachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Labayen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Goryachev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ramon Labayen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Labayen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Goryachev tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Labayen is in Goryachev's guard.
Labayen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Goryachev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Labayen is one step ahead there.
Goryachev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Labayen controls the pace.

Ramon Labayen has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Goryachev takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
With the fighters up against the cage, Goryachev throws an elbow but misses.
Labayen is trying to maintain a safe position but Goryachev gets an underhook and turns Labayen into the cage.

Goryachev is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Labayen is keeping busy.
Labayen is trying to drag Goryachev to the mat but Goryachev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Labayen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Labayen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Labayen trying to control the position but instead, Goryachev has worked for underhooks and has pushed Labayen into the cage.

Goryachev crunches a lovely knee into Labayen's ribcage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Goryachev creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Labayen's defenses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vladimir Goryachev will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Labayen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Goryachev as he avoids it easily.
Labayen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Goryachev throws a head kick that misses.
No luck for Labayen with that takedown attempt.
Labayen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Goryachev defends it nicely.
Vladimir Goryachev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramon Labayen.
Goryachev throws a half hearted mid kick.
Goryachev scores with the left hand. Labayen knows he should have avoided that one.

Labayen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Labayen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
