Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. GREG PERRY-IT TAKES HEART kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hawkins manages to avoid it.
Pacquiao connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pacquiao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hawkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pacquiao just misses with a punch to the body.
No joy there for Hawkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hawkins throws a shot from downtown. Pacquiao moves away and avoids it.
Pacquiao looks for a takedown but Hawkins sprawls well.

Pacquiao throws a push kick but Hawkins slaps the foot to one side.

Hawkins throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Pacquiao looks for a takedown but Hawkins sprawls well.
Pacquiao throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hawkins's waist but Hawkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pacquiao off to one side.

Pacquiao forces Hawkins back against the cage and clinches.
Pacquiao has Hawkins pressed against the cage, preventing Hawkins from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hawkins is looking to break free of the clinch but Pacquiao has double underhooks.
Pacquiao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hawkins smiles and moves away.
Hawkins lands with a kick to the temple. Pacquiao shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawkins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Pacquiao is keeping busy.
Pacquiao tries to pull guard but Hawkins holds him up against the cage and eventually Pacquiao drops back down to his feet.
Pacquiao keeps control of Hawkins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hawkins is trying to break the clinch but Pacquiao is controlling him.
Pacquiao's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Pacquiao jumps guard but Hawkins stands there with Pacquiao around his waist. Pacquiao gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hawkins tries to circle away but Pacquiao has him pinned against the cage.

Hawkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hawkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pacquiao fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hawkins is out of range.
Pacquiao misses with a body kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hawkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pacquiao somewhat.
A right-left combo lands from Hawkins.
Hawkins cracks Pacquiao with a good jab.
Pacquiao looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Pacquiao throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hawkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pacquiao is in Hawkins's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hawkins is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hawkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pacquiao circles away quickly and effectively.

OH! Pacquiao has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Hawkins smells blood and charges in for the finish! Hawkins unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Pacquiao sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
