Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sumopainija Hokanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mallon comes to the cage accompanied by im not afraid. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mallon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hokanen shoots for a double leg takedown but Mallon sprawls well. He's pushed Hokanen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mallon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hokanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hokanen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mallon's head backwards.
Mallon tries to bum rush Hokanen with a series of wild strikes but Hokanen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hokanen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mallon moves away.

Hokanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mallon manages to avoid it.

Hokanen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mallon can't fight it off and eventually Hokanen manages to take the fight to the floor. Mallon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hokanen slips a nice elbow through Mallon's hands, connecting with Mallon's forehead.

Mallon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hokanen is aware though and is defending well.
Mallon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hokanen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mallon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hokanen is aware though and is defending well.

Mallon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hokanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hokanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that John Mallon will probably get the nod.
